Community Development Financial Institution

Community Development Financial Institution Banner Image

A lender with a specific mission to provide fair financing to communities that traditional financing does not reach. They can be for-profit, nonprofits, credit unions, banks, loan funds, or venture capital funds. All are certified by the Treasury Department’s CDFI Fund. Partnering with a CDFI is a low-risk way for a bank to meet their CRA obligations.
